No, a paid registration fee is NOT required to participate, but you will need to self-donate or fundraise at least $125 towards your personal fundraising campaign to receive a t-shirt.
Does everyone in my party have to register in advance?
While it is encouraged to pre-register for IDF Walk for PI, we do offer registration on the day of the walk on-site.
All are welcome! Please remember that every walker, regardless of age, must register to participate in IDF Walk for PI.
How do I get an official IDF Walk for PI t-shirt and other incentives?
Self-donate or fundraise at least $125 to be eligible for an IDF Walk for PI t-shirt and other incentives!
We know you will be eager to get your t-shirt and want to remind you that IDF Walk for PI t-shirts will be shipped out in regular intervals during the Walk for PI season.
Once you've earned a t-shirt, keep fundraising for more great incentives, which you can learn more about here. As a reminder, you can raise funds all the way up until December 14, 2023.
Note: All awards are based on the amount each individual has raised.

We are grateful for the support of national and local organizations. For more information, please click here, or you can contact IDF at 410-321-6647 or email shamilton@primaryimmune.org.
Fundraising and Donations
How do donations to Walk for PI impact the PI community?
Every dollar makes a difference! Your contribution helps provide resources and services to those who live with PI.
In fact, IDF Walk for PI has raised more than seven million dollars since 2013, ensuring that IDF can continue to provide educational resources and programs at no cost to individuals and families, while focusing on critical patient-centered research and fighting to improve diagnosis and access to treatment.
Together, we can make an impact and remind the PI community that they are never alone.
How do I handle check donations?
Please make all checks payable to: Immune Deficiency Foundation and make sure that in the memo it says IDF Walk for PI and who the donations should be credited to.
All donations should be mailed to: Immune Deficiency Foundation P.O. Box 735108 Chicago, IL 60673-5108
Once your gift is received by IDF, a tax receipt will be mailed or emailed to you. Please send an email address if you would like this document to be emailed.
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to Immune Deficiency Foundation
Can I make a donation to a team?
Yes! Donations can be made to a walk participant individually or to an entire team.
How can I double my donation and double my impact?
Enter your employer’s company name in the box just above the “Donate Now” button at the bottom of the online donation form. If your employer matches gifts, their company name will appear in a drop-down menu. Select your company name and then click on “Donate Now.”
You will receive an email asking you to “Please submit a matching gift request to your employer” with instructions on how to request a match from your company and a link to the appropriate form. It’s quick and easy.
You can also find out if your employer matches gifts here.
What if I have a cash donation?
We suggest that you deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account; you can find our check donation form here.
Please make all checks payable to: Immune Deficiency Foundation and make sure that in the memo it says IDF Walk for PI and who the donations should be credited to.
All donations should be mailed to: Immune Deficiency Foundation P.O. Box 735108 Chicago, IL 60673-5108
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my page?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If your donation does not post within 10 minutes, please contact Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Are donations tax-deductible? What if a donor is requesting a Tax ID number; what is that and how can I get it?
All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
A Tax ID number identifies Immune Deficiency Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. The Immune Deficiency Foundation Tax ID number is 52-1214782.
Do all donors who mail their donations receive a receipt?
Anyone who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email.
For mailed donations, any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed.
Please send an email address if you would like this document to be emailed.
Day-of Walk
What happens in inclement weather?
The walk will take place rain or shine! Unless there are extreme weather conditions, such as lightning, the walk will go on. If rain is in the forecast, please dress accordingly, and keep an eye on your inbox for any updates. There will be no rain dates.
Are pets allowed to attend the walk?
Unfortunately, we only welcome service dogs due to the rules of the walk sites.
What if I cannot physically participate in the "walk" part of Walk for PI?
You do not need to walk in order to participate. You will have the opportunity to interact with fellow walkers, visit our sponsor and activity booths, and more! Each walk route will be approximately 1-2 miles long and is intended to be easily accessible by stroller and wheelchair.
This is a non-competitive walk, and all participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace, but please check with a physician with any concerns.
