Join us in supporting persons living with Primary Immune Deficiency (PI), like our Naperville Central student, Scott. Scott does not make antibodies on his own and relies on weekly gamma globulin infusions to live. He also requires monoclonal antibodies every six months to be safe during the pandemic. Scott and others like him are wildly under supported in our medical, insurance, school and workplace settings.
This year, as part of the PI community, our "Zebra": - Went to his first IDF Teen Conference where he met other teens from across the country who also battle PI - Mentored an 11 year old Naperville boy recently diagnosed, battling severe chronic pneumonia (like Scott) and afraid to start weekly infusions - Went on his first trip, on an airplane, since going on treatment - Approached five years of "getting his life back" since getting approved for weekly gamma globulin infusions
Join us in supporting the Immune Deficiency Foundation who fights for quality of life, better treatments and overall support for patients who battle PI.
